April Card Class

I had thought we would be on a trip in late March and April, so didn't schedule a class.  But long story short...trip was canceled and I was able to get our stamping room next Saturday, April 2nd.  So it's ON if we don't have a crazy blizzard!

Techniques will include stenciling, adding simple color with sponge daubers, and a fun pocket card.

Summer's Coming!

I just received this stamp set with my starter kit, and couldn't wait to try it.  I randomly stamped the background with the three cute little bees, and colored with water-based markers.  The FSJ Fusion ink is amazing!  It doesn't smear with either water-based or alcohol-based markers, and it stamps really nice and dark.
I'm really happy with the FSJ colors, too.  They're bright, clear, and happy!  The stamps are deep cut and make clear, crisp images AND they stick to the blocks.  Yes, I'm a happy stamper!

Dahlia Burst ATC

I've been playing with various Copics to color the dahlias from Dahlia Burst (SS-0203). This little one screamed out to be made into an ATC!  I'm thinking of making a bunch of these to swap at Convention.  Do you think it needs a leaf?

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!!!!

Yay, it's here!  My FSJ Starter Kit is here! I'll get my rolling bag in June when the NEW design comes out.  No...I'm not excited...not one bit!

Sponging, Stencils, and Pierced Ovals

My FSJ Starter Kit still hasn't arrived, but it's finally supposed to show up TODAY!  I can hardly wait.  I signed up on March 5th, and finally contacted customer support.  They found it somewhere in the warehouse and made sure it got sent out, but meanwhile I'm working with a pretty limited supply of materials, and having to use some non-FSJ supplies I have.  Here are two cards I made, one with an ATS my upline gave me, and the other with an ATS I received with my first order.  I like the simplicity of both of them - might have to use these in my next card class!

Stamps: Star Marquee AT-0155
Inks & Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie
Other: Hearts & Stars stencil from Stampin' Up, clear embossing powder, gold and star-shaped sequins

Stamps:  Rose Garden AT-0025
Inks & Cardstock: Rose Red, Garden Green
Other: Journey Ovals DI-0042, Gumball Green stitched ribbon

Lovin' my Cameo today

I decided to start some swaps for the FSJ Convention today.  I have the Dahlia Burst stamp set, but passed on the matching dies because I figured I could use my PixScan mat in my Silhouette Cameo.  I had only tried that once or twice before, but I'm completely hooked now!  I stamped several pages of dahlias and leaves, then ran them through the Cameo.  I'm sure there are more steps involved than the Scan n Cut, but I can't justify buying a whole new machine!

Anyway, I now have a LOT of dahlias to color.  I've looked up pictures of dahlias for color ideas, and I'm going to use Copics...it will give me something to do while watching TV in the evenings!  Stay tuned for more dahlia pictures.

DVD Case Notepad

I had the pleasure today of meeting a fellow FSJ Coach, Denise Weiger.  She and I are currently the only two coaches in the Pueblo area.  As we were visiting, she happened to pull out her notepad, and I decided I had to make one for myself!  I have seen these online before, but really neat to see one in use.  So here's what I came up with, using some Stampin' Up DSP I had, and a new FSJ stamp I just received last night, called Rose Garden.  I think I'll add a little calendar, too, above the pocket. I think this stamp might become one of my favorites - simple and versatile and inexpensive!
